Virginia State Overtime Exemptions
The state of Virginia closely modeled its overtime pay laws after the FLSA, the national body of laws overseen by the Department of Labor to help ensure fair treatment and pay for workers across the United States. According to these laws, the following types of employees are not entitled to overtime pay in Virginia:
- Administrative
- Professional
- Executive
