Under the new changes to the the overtime laws (know as the FLSA or Fair Labor Standard’s Act) more and more people will be have a right to overtime so this issue could affect you in the future if it doesn’t now. The new rules will require companies to pay anyone making less than $50,440 overtime. Currently its $23,660. According to the Department of Labor this will affect close to 6 million people who are managers, or administratively exempt, or professionals.
